Dr. Pioma Wijeyesakere

Dr. Pioma Wijeyesakere is an Emergency Physician and Clinical Toxicology Fellow who also served as a Director of Clinical Training at Monash Doctors’ Education. 

She practices across Multiple sites within Monash Health and Northwest Regional Hospital Tasmania, with a special interest in Clinical Toxicology, medical education, and quality improvement. Her research includes toxicology case studies and emergency medicine quality improvement projects , and she is passionate about advancing patient-centred care through improving medical education and clinical excellence. Pioma is one of the key driving forces behind emx, serving as a Program Lead.
