Dr. Goran Mitreski

Dr. Goran Mitreski is a Consultant Interventional Radiologist at Northern Health, Melbourne. He completed his radiology training at Austin Health, followed by fellowships in interventional Radiology, and now practices across the spectrum of vascular, interventional oncology, and acute endovascular therapies.

He has a particular interest in collaborative models of care with emergency and critical care teams, including Pulmonary Embolism Response pathways and complex bleeding interventions. Dr. Mitreski is convenor of the Interventional Radiology Society of Australasia (IRSA) 2025 scientific meeting and is actively involved in research on large-bore thrombectomy, portal hypertension interventions and improving IR outreach. 

Alongside his clinical and research work, Dr. Mitreski has a strong interest in education. He is actively engaged with the University of Melbourne in teaching and supervision of medical students, including research scholars and radiology trainees, and leads education initiatives within his department for both consultants and trainees.
