Dr. Geeth Sooriyasena

Dr. Geeth Sooriyasena is a Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist with over nine years of specialist experience. He completed advanced fellowship training in paediatric cardiology at Westmead Children’s Hospital, Sydney, and the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne.

Based at the National Hospital – Galle, he provides expertise in cardiac imaging, electrophysiology, and interventional cardiology, with extensive experience managing complex congenital and acquired heart disease.

In addition to his clinical practice, Geeth is deeply engaged in research and medical education, with a strong commitment to shaping the next generation of paediatric cardiologists. He also spearheads a collaboration with Evelina London Children’s Hospital, UK, through which paediatric cardiologists and cardiac surgeons that travel to Sri Lanka to deliver world-class care to children with heart disease.
